Sound public policy and public funding both play a major role in North Carolina’s ability to prevent teen pregnancy. That’s why we consider advocacy a core part of our mission.

Public policy affects whether or not students receive accurate information in school, the quality of programs communities invest in, access to preventative and protective medical care, and many other issues. Public financing often dictates the quality and availability of prevention programs in the communities that need them most.

Our goal is to be a strong voice for communities, teens and families, and to be a resource for legislators as they seek to make the best investments and best policy for pregnancy prevention.
